Twenty-five years ago, Benvenisti was struck by a drunk driver as a pedestrian while on Spring Break in Daytona Beach, Florida. After experiencing a full recovery from catastrophic brain and orthopedic injuries, Benvenisti is now an advocate of drunk driving prevention and awareness, especially among teens, college students and their parents. Benvenisti authored Spring Break to warn students about the dangers of drunk driving and he shares his story around the United States as a motivational and keynote speaker.
